State of Indiana Employee Retirement

The Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS) is one of the largest 100 pension systems in the United States, serving the needs of 517,149 working members and retirees representing more than 1,303 employers including public universities, school corporations, public safety, municipalities, and state agencies.

Indiana Retirement Benefits

INPRS administers several retirement plans for its members, including the Public Employees’ Retirement Fund (PERF), the Teachers’ Retirement Fund (TRF), the Judges’ Retirement System (JRS), the Prosecuting Attorneys Retirement Fund (PARF), the Excise Gaming & Conservation Fund (EG&C), and the 1977 Police Officers’ and Firefighters’ Pension and Disability Fund (1977 Fund).  Each plan has its own unique features and benefits but generally covers several retirement options, including normal retirement, early retirement, and deferred retirement. Retirement Health Insurance

The State of Indiana Retirement Medical Benefits Account Plan is a benefit established by the state for retired employees who are eligible for and have received a normal, unreduced, or disability retirement benefit. The plan provides reimbursement for qualifying expenses incurred by the retiree and/or their covered dependents.
